Recommended 100%!

Swiss Escape is one of the most beautiful colivings I've ever been to. Incredible views, path walks in the mountains, things to do outside, but also the coliving itself has everything you might need and even more.

You have a beautiful coworking space, a community, with like-minded people and fellow digital nomads like you, that work together, go on trips together, cook and play, connect and make a beautiful network of friends from all over the world and Europe.

Come, it is totally worth it and you will plan to have it as part of your traveling from the moment you come onwards.

The Space

Welcome to

Swiss Escape

Imagine living with people that inspire you every day and waking up to the panoramic view of the Alps.

Swiss Escape is located in the charming village of Grimentz. The chalets are surrounded by the mountains and you have easy access to hiking, mountain biking and ski lifts. It is the first coworking and coliving space in Switzerland for freelancers, entrepreneurs and teams that are looking to get closer to nature.

We are a community of people who live and work together. Here, you get to meet like-minded people, be productive and have fun while doing it. Swiss Escape is also a space where creative ideas are born, new partnerships are built and knowledge is shared.

Coliving and Coworking in Switzerland

Grimentz is a French speaking village located in the mountainous Valais region at 1500m. It is less than 3 hours away from major airports (Geneva, Zurich and Milan).

Here you are immersed in the Alps, with a view on the mountains from your windows and your desks. The village is especially suited for sport enthusiasts, as well as people who love being surrounded by nature and peacefulness.

Swiss Escape is easily reachable by public transportation from Geneva, Zurich and Milan airports in less than 3 hours.

By plane:

The closest airport is Geneva. Then it is about 2 hours by car, or 2.5 hours by public transportation.

By train and bus:

We advise you to take a train from the airport until Sierre. Trains to Sierre run every half an hour from Geneva and Zurich airports. From Sierre, take a bus until Grimentz télécabine. Timetable for the train and bus can be found here.

If you travel by bus, beware that the last bus from Sierre leaves around 7pm. Make sure you check out the timetable before you travel.

There are two supermarkets in the vicinity. One is a national chain of supermarkets called Coop where you can find everything that you would expect in a grocery store. Another option is the local supermarket called Au Marché Villageois where you can find more local products like meat and cheese. There are also bakeries and a butchery close by.

All shops are within 5 minutes walking distance from Swiss Escape.

We are located 2 minutes walking distance from the gondola.

We have a dedicated laundry room with washing machine, dryer and washing products.

Coliving means that you will share your living space with others. You can expect 4 other people maximum in the same house as yours. In practice, you are going to share the coworking space, the living room, the kitchen, and the bathroom.

Additionally, house managers/hosts are always around to take care of the shared spaces, answer any questions you have and help you settle down.

We have guests from all over the world. We host are entrepreneurs, freelancers and remote workers working in different industries. They all have one thing in common: they come with a brilliant story and are open to learn from others.

The shared room has twin beds, meaning only two people stay in that room. Each person has their own wardrobe to store their personal belongings.

Kids are so much fun to be around and have much to teach us. Unfortunately, we are not able to cater for them at Swiss Escape due to lack of space/facility and the focus that we have chosen to put on coworking and providing a space for deep work and productivity.

Sure thing. We have plenty of storage space for all your equipment.

Swiss Escape consists of two chalets situated on top of one another; please be aware that they are not internally connected. The chalets were constructed in 2013 by a local architect. They hold a 4-star certification as modern chalets and bear the Minergie label, a Swiss-registered quality designation for energy-efficient buildings.

Each chalet has 3 floors: one floor serves as a shared workspace, kitchen, and living area, while the other two floors house the bedrooms, bathrooms, and laundry rooms.

No, we can't ensure that you will have your own bathroom. Each bathroom is shared by two or three people maximum. We make sure that it is kept clean.

Sure thing! The private room consists of one queen-sized bed. We recommend sharing it with your partner or a very good friend.

Although we love our furry friends, pets are unfortunately not allowed at Swiss Escape.

You can have a glimpse at the prices here.

Ski passes vary depending on how long and how often you want to hit the slopes.

Have a look at the prices on their website. Moreover, if you plan to ski for at least 2 weeks in winter, then we would highly recommend you to buy the Magic Pass. Magic Pass is valid for the whole season and gives you unlimited access to many ski resorts across Switzerland.

Note: The price of Magic Pass increases every month as we get closer to winter. To take full advantage, try purchasing it before September.

We organize social and business events every week.

Social events:

  • Game night

  • Movie night

  • Swiss dinners

Business events:

  • Workshops

  • Open discussions

  • Talks

Needless to say that colivers are also welcomed to organize their own events like excursions, day hikes or ski days.

Grimentz is a winter wonderland as soon as the snow begins to fall. The village turns into a beautiful ski/snowboard destination and you will regularly see people hanging out at après-ski bars.

Additionally, aside from enjoying the slopes, we often organize fondue or raclette evenings.

Summer in the Alps is always pleasant with average temperatures ranging between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius.

You can of course go hiking and mountain biking but also take advantage of exploring culture through local festivals and wine-tasting events.

Every guest who stays with us from June to October will receive this pass for free.

This pass includes many activities in the area, such as:

  • swimming pool

  • tennis court

  • minigolf

  • guided tours

  • museums

  • public transportation in the area

  • discounts to cable cars

  • discount to observatory

Yes absolutely!

Grimentz is a quiet and cute village in the mountains. It's the perfect place to recharge your batteries after extensive travel or intense times.

Within our chalets, we are productive and enjoy days of work.

We strive to create an experience that combines the intimacy of the houses—welcoming colivers from 3 to 12 people—with the serene and relaxing mountain atmosphere, all while being located just a 3-minute walk from the cable cars.

If you're looking for a party destination, this is NOT the right experience for you.

Anything and everything. The chalet is built and furnished with locally sourced products from the region, so don't be surprised if you come across a Swiss flag on a potato peeler ;)

We occasionally host Swiss fondue or raclette nights. The Valais region (where Grimentz is located) happens to be the largest wine-producing area in Switzerland. Let us share a little secret with you: Swiss wine is not widely exported, making this an exclusive opportunity to try it.

Moreover, Fanny, our co-founder, grew up around Grimentz so that is the ultimate Swissness we bring.

Yes you can! We can host up to 8 people in private rooms, and 15 people in shared rooms. Use our company retreat form to receive a quote.

In a restaurant, you can expect these prices:

Beer = 4.5 EUR

Pizza = 15 EUR

Meal = ~25 EUR

No. We don't believe in hidden fees. So you get what you pay for. Remember the food and any excursions are on you.

Right in front of the house! There is enough room for three cars.
